FND 11/9/12: Roots

FND has opened the root cellar in honor of autumn weather:
Mashed sweet potatoes, spicy roasted pumpkin and butternut squash soup, beet salad, and probably a roasted chicken.  Other vegetables as assigned.

Have a great weekend!

FND 10/1/2010: SACNAS-inspired food

Dear FND folks,

First of all, thank you for a festive appetizer-and-pie-filled birthday. It was super to see so many of you, even if you didn’t get my subtle hint in last week’s email 🙂 I think the pie was calling everyone.

Ursula has called the theme this week. It is the time of year for the SACNAS conference: an organization dedicated to “Advancing Hispanics/Chicanos and Native Americans in Science.” In honor of the conference we will have Hispanic and Native American food.

Ray has a clinic trip to Palo Alto, so in the hopes that there is some food and company left when she returns we will start a little late at 7PM.

As always, RSVP with who and what you are bringing at fndeats.wordpress.com so this can be a self-organizing kinda gathering.

See you soon!
