FND 11/16/12: Pasta Pie

The misty pasta swiftly leads the pizza.
Pizzas drink like misty pastas.
Never command a pizza.
The big pasta calmly leads the pizza.
Where is the rainy pasta?  —Poem Generator

So.  Pasta. We’ll make marinara and we have pesto as an alternative.  We’ll make some pizzas too.  Bring a salad or anything to add on, or a drink, or just yourself.

It’s been cool enough for s’mores too – might want a sweater. Or hoodie. Or swoodie.  Unless it rains; then you’ll want a raincoat and some galoshes

FND 6/15: dumpling festival

Potstickers, steamed, fried, pierogi, matzoh balls, kreplach, won ton, gyoza, gnocchi, chicken and dumpling, pakoras… You have options.

Last FND with Ray, Mimi, and Sarge for a while, so get your fix now.

Have a great weekend

FND 3/16/12: Lasagnas

Beware the ides of March and of spinach lasagnas, unless you are not a Roman emperor, nor made of spinach.    Also do not fear, if you are not Popeye the Sailor and so the thought of spinach causes physical distress, because it is possible to encounter lasagnas filled with meat, which are not also concealing a dagger.

8/7/2009: All about Pasta

If you didn’t make it last week for appetizers and dessert, you missed
the most awesome of bruchetta. We still have garlic breath, but our
immune systems are dandy! There were also other treats including
shrimp and homemade cocktail sauce, cherries, edamame, several kinds
of cookies and an assortment of frozen delicacies.

This week is all about pasta. Some of it even homemade if Nancy and I get our acts together. So bring a favorite sauce, topping, side, veggie, dessert… Just make sure you post here so folks know what’s up.

FND 07/17: pasghetti and meatballs

FND is keeping it simple this week with spaghetti and meatballs, made fresh.  You could bring anything that would help turn lettuce into a salad, or your favorite side/beverage/dessert.  As I write this I realize I have a good veggie alternative, so never fear.

NEXT week FND will be away, taking a hard-earned vacation. Feel free to host your own, it’s easy and (often) delicious.

Pizza – May 15th

We’ll roll it and stretch it and throw it (which is stretching it) and cook it and eat it and you can help!

We like to make pizza from scratch once a month; this month I’m eyeing a recipe for white pie – not something I usually go for, but I can respect it. Traditional tomato sauce pizza will happen too.
If you can make a brilliant dough, or sauce, go for it, otherwise bring along your favorite brand of anchovies or pizza-related beverage.

Italian-o-rama: April 24, 2009

This week we are gonna cook up a mess-o-pasta.  Bring sides, dessert,

Homemade gnocci?  Ravioli?  Garlic bread?

Let us know if you are-a-comin’ and who and what you are-a-bringin’.

Still working on setting up a site so this week it is still email
organization.

If you aren’t coming, no sweat and no need to let us know.
