FND 01/31/14: The Food, Not the Footwear

You say Huarache, I say Guarache; let’s eat ourselves silly on oblong fried masa which resemble sandals (in shape only) topped with, oh, we’re not here to judge.

Here’s a little history: http://www.elhuaracheazteca.com/historia.html

Just run it through Google Translate if need be WHAT COULD GO WRONG.

Have a fantastic weekend.

OK, footwear it is! I will make some huaraches and bring some vegetarian pink beans (favored bean of the indigenous), some green salsa to assemble as a learning tool, cheese and chicken chorizo. No need for BabelFish, I can translate this interesting article. Elaine and Daniel

I know guacamole is not really historically accurate, but I would want it with these, so I will bring some homemade guacamole and store-bought chips.
