FND: 07/19/13 It happens. Pasta Redux

So last week we had plans to eat homemade red sauce and all sorts of everyone-friendly  pasta, but then Pacific Rim called, and was all like, RAWWWRRRR WHIRRRRRRRRRRRRR SMASH SMASH

So we went to opening night and sort of totally forgot to eat dinner.

Take 2: The garden is producing tomatoes and red peppers. The pantry is stocked with wheat, rice, and not-so-sure-what pasta.  I’ll grill and grind some beef for carnivores, and we have a few green things too.

Go go weekend!

FND 07/12/13: Pasta with and without gluten

Several species of pasta plus homemade tomato sauce.  We have some salad fixin’s; bring anything that looks good in a bowl of lettuce.

Welcome to the weekend!

FND 7/5/13: Back! Breakfast! Because!

We’re mostly back and even though FND-before-last was breakfast, we’re calling it again because:

  1. That was a long time ago. Years I think.
  2. Breakfast is terrific.
  3. (Your favorite reason, which makes you agree)

Cherries, maple syrup, eggs, oats: we have these things.  Grits too.   What else goes into breakfast?

FND 04/12/13: Chili con delicious

Two chilis – carne and notsomuch.  Spiciness will be very moderate and very available for aftermarket modifications.

Rice! And cheese and sour cream!  That’s all I know!

Hurray weekend!

P.s. see if you notice anything different, in say, the kitchen area.

FND 2/22/13: Grillables go go go

Weather dictates that we place comestibles over combustibles and confabulate.

I hear tell of carne asada, and we will hunt/gather more complementary items.

Enjoy the week end!

FND 2/8/13: You say Fritata

I say cheesy grits.  Wait no, err… fruit salad.  Scrambled eggs!

No breakfast at FND since December?! What the heck is that about?
Ray is back from NC, schedules are being tamed; it’s time to ring in a weekend.

FND RIGHT NOW: Pizzzzzza, homemade, your favorite toppings

FND is back and busy as all get out but not too busy to whomp up some pies.
Bring your Big appetite and favorite toppings or drinks or desserts.

Sorry for the late notice! It’s been that kinda week!

FND 1/11/13: Rain Check

Sorry folks, we’re taking a pause to refresh and come back better than even next week!

FND 12/28/12: Not the city in North Ghana

Tamale is known for shea nuts, but they apparently aren’t delicious so we’re going to go with the Nahuatl tamale which *is* delicious.

If we have left overs we can mix them with aloe and make skin lotion.

Win-win.–

FND 12/21/12: Last FND EVER (this week)

A box without hinges, key, or lid,
yet golden treasure inside is hid.
–obligatory Hobbit riddle.

Also, pancakes, fruit, cheesy grits, ever-so-almost turkey bacon, and mimosas.
