What should I bring?
Sometime during the week a theme will be announced; bring something that vaguely follows that theme, or goes with anything (drinks), or just bring yourself and a story from the week, or friend. Anyone can declare the theme, first one we hear wins. Some themes like Breakfast return monthly. The blog post categories are examples.
How much should I bring?
Any amount – use the blog comments to get an idea of crowd size which will vary from 1 – 27.
What can a vegetarian eat?
We really want everyone to be able to eat so let us know what you need and we’ll make a reasonable effort to have something that looks like food to you.
Our own cooking tends to start with basic raw ingredients and we prepare and cook meat (if any) separately. Onions and garlic get their own board too, but that’s just us. If your cooking/eating preference is totally different from ours, bring it! We’re always up for learning recipes and tasting new stuff.
What about leftovers?
Take some home! It’s not unusual for FND to generate leftovers. Do you want us to be big as barns? Same goes for drinks, desserts, ingredients, etc that aren’t used or finished. We will make every effort to store leftovers for future FNDs and dispose of them appropriately (burp) before they go to waste, but our storage space is limited.
Can I bring my friend/kids/relative?
Yes because your friend/kids/relatives are now ours by the transitive property. It’s just math, trust us we’ve got that covered.
Can I bring my pet dog/mouse/walrus?
Possibly. We should check to see if it gets along with the Zoo: as of this writing a rabbit*, big enthusiastic dog (trained), and a cat. Take a Claritin if need be.
What if I don’t RSVP?
5 demerits, come anyway.
What if I wash some dishes?
Then you will be our favorite ever person ever.
